We require experienced, enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our busy Redditch Branch located in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre.
Magical Story is a gift & homeware retailer, specialising in fun & quirky gifts & seasonal decorations. Suitable candidates will have a passion for retail and who can:
Build and maintain relationships with customers and team members in a friendly and effective wayMaintain merchandising in the shop to a high standard
Ensure very high levels of customer service
Offer flexibility with working hours (covering both weekdays, weekends, and late night opening)
Core Duties
To ensure the smooth running of the shop, and maintaining the shop standards by:
Participating in the day to day running of the shopKeeping the shop and displays clean and tidy at all times
Operating the till and accurately handling cash, cheques and credit/debit cards
Follow cashing up procedures
Assist in changing displays of stock stop
Receiving deliveries, unpacking, pricing and re-shelving or storing stock
Assist with regular stock checks and annual stock takes
Looking after all aspects of the shop whilst the Retail Manager is away
Ensuring all fire exits and escape routes are kept free from obstruction
Being vigilant at all times and to help minimise stock loss
Customer Service
To ensure that excellent customer service is demonstrated at all times by:
Developing a good knowledge of stock, ensuring that customers are informed about the goods that they have purchasedInforming the public about the goods on show in the shop.
Take orders from customers, whether in person or received by phone.
