We are pleased to announce the proposed expansion of Magical Story with a temporary store planned for opening in September which will be located in The Parade, Sutton Coldfield.  As a consequence, we require experienced, enthusiastic and motivated individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments to join our team.

We are looking for people who have a passion for retail & who can:

  • Build & maintain relationships with customers and team members in a friendly and effective way
  • Maintain merchandising in the shop to a high standard
  • Ensure very high levels of customer service
  • Offer flexibility with working hours
  • Be able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Have good organisational skills

The Branch Manager (40 hours) will be responsible for driving performance and results to maximise sales. They must have a keen eye for detail, a good understanding of stock related processes and have good leadership skills in order to get the best out of your team, whilst having the drive and desire to deliver great customer service.  Previous retail management experience is essential along with a proven track record of delivering sales against key targets and contributing towards business development. Highly effective communication skills with the ability to develop performing teams would be desirable.

The Supervisor (40 hours) will be passionate about our products and creating a sense of fun to inspire and motivate the team. They will work closely with the Manager to organise the team to maximise sales in a friendly & supportive atmosphere that creates a buzz on the shop floor for both our customers and staff. Previous Management or supervisory experience is essential along with a personality to inspire the team and to create a fun, energized environment.

The Retail Assistants (various part-time positions) will be an essential part of the team by supporting the smooth running of the shop, and maintaining the shop standards. Duties will include providing excellent customer service at all times, assist in changing displays of stock, receiving deliveries, unpacking, pricing and re-shelving or storing stock, keeping the shop and displays clean and tidy at all times. Previous retail experience would be desirable for this fast paced environment.
